As I'm sure you are aware Modshrine.com has not been operating for a while. Modshrine.com was run on a personal computer from January 2002 to October 2005. When I moved in 2005 the hard drive crashed (probably as a result of being moved). Luckily I had backups of all the songs and compos but what I didn't have a backup of was the database. It took a long time but I was able to recover a reasonably recent version of the tables some by manual entry and some off the broken hard drive (freezer).

Since January 2005 I have paid for an offsite server but it wasn't until now that I got around to re-writing the scripts (for a newer version of both SQL and PHP) and uploaded all the data from my home server to the new one. We lost a lot of compo data (specifically April, May, June, July, August, September, October of 2005). Since that point compos were not being officially recorded.
